01Who is Lotsmith for?
Anyone selling a vehicle. One person selling one truck in their driveway, and a lot with fifty cars, hand photos to the same room and get the same thing back. You do not need a business, a website, or an inventory system.
02What do I actually get?
One folder per vehicle. Every photo you uploaded, prepared: relit, cleaned up, and standing on the background you chose. A vertical video cut from those photos, sized for Marketplace, Reels, and TikTok. And the written listing, headline and description, as a text file you can paste anywhere. You download it and it is yours.
03Does Lotsmith post my listing anywhere?
No, and it cannot. Lotsmith has no connection to Facebook, Craigslist, your website, or anywhere else, and it never asks for a password to one. You download the folder and post it yourself, wherever you already sell.
04Do I need a good camera?
A phone is what this was built for. Walk around the vehicle, get the inside too, and shoot in whatever light you have. Fixing the light is the work Lotsmith does, so a driveway on an overcast afternoon is a normal starting point rather than a problem.
05How many photos can I send?
Up to 25 for one vehicle, and at least one. Photos can be up to 15 MB each. The first one you choose leads the listing and opens the video, so put the best angle first. A free listing takes up to 10.
06My iPhone photos will not upload. Why?
Your camera is saving HEIC, which nothing in the pipeline can read yet. On the phone, open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos will be JPEG. Lotsmith accepts JPEG, PNG, and WEBP.
07Can I choose the background?
Yes, per vehicle, on the same screen where you upload. Keep the real one, where the vehicle is cleaned up and relit exactly where you photographed it, or stand it in one of five studios: seamless grey, black gloss, a white room, a concrete floor, or a single spotlight. Which one flatters a car depends on its paint, which is why there is more than one.
08Do I have to tell you what the vehicle is?
No. Leave the year, make, model, mileage, and price blank and you still get every photo prepared and a video cut, with no words on it. Fill them in and we also write the description and caption the video. It is your call, and you make it in the same form.
09Does Lotsmith invent things about my car?
No. The description is written only from what you typed, and it is not allowed to state a feature, an option, a service record, a warranty, or financing terms you did not give it. If you leave the vehicle blank, nothing is written at all rather than guessed.
10Does it change what my car looks like?
It re-photographs it, it does not redesign it. The paint, the wheels, the trim, and the condition stay exactly as they came in. A studio background replaces the scene behind the vehicle; it does not touch the vehicle.
11How long does one vehicle take?
Minutes, not days. You watch the progress on the page as each photo finishes, then the writing, then the video.
12What does it cost?
Your first listing is free, with no card. After that it is $8 for one, $59 for ten, or $149 for thirty. Credits do not expire, and a run that fails gives its credit back.
13What happens to my photos?
They stay yours. They are stored privately so we can prepare them and hand the folder back, they are never used to advertise anything, and you can have them deleted. Nothing you upload is published anywhere by us.
