Security & trust

Built to earn your trust, not spend it.

Marketing your lot means handling your inventory, your listings, and eventually your posting credentials. Here is how Lotsmith treats all of it, in plain terms.

Your inventory stays yours

You own your vehicles and your data. Lotsmith works from your inventory to help you market it. It never takes ownership of it.

It never invents vehicle facts

Listings are built only from what you provide: the year, make, model, trim, mileage, price, and condition. Lotsmith writes the description. It does not make up the car.

Nothing posts without your approval

Approval is built into how the product works, not a setting that can be switched off. Every listing waits for your sign-off before a buyer sees it.

Credentials are encrypted

If you connect Craigslist credentials for automated posting, they are encrypted before storage, never shown back to you, and never written to logs. Remove them any time.

Every publish action is recorded

When a listing goes out, it is logged: what was posted, where, and when. There is always a clear record you can check.

Your history is preserved

Your campaigns and activity stay intact so you can look back at what was marketed and how it performed, without losing the trail.

On automation

Automation you switch on, not something done to you.

Automated publishing is coming, and when it arrives it will be a choice you make, vehicle by vehicle or all at once, whichever you prefer. The default will always be that you stay in control. Lotsmith handles the repetitive work so you can spend your time on the parts that need a person: pricing, negotiating, and closing.

If you have a specific question about how your data or credentials are handled, ask before you sign up. We would rather answer it up front.
