Definition
Lead
A lead is a potential buyer who has shown interest in a vehicle, usually by calling, messaging, or submitting a form from a listing.
Leads are the point of every listing. A marketing channel is only as good as the quality of the leads it sends, and quality comes largely from the listing itself. A vague ad draws low-intent messages; a clear one draws buyers who are ready.
The goal is not the most leads, it is the most ready buyers. Answering the obvious questions in the listing filters out the tire-kickers before they reach the sales floor and brings the people who are genuinely close to buying.
